As paper becomes increasingly expensive and environment concerns grow, many have suggested that we move to digital environments. However, it seems that in many cases computers have simply allowed us to utilize more paper.
Can we realistically look at paper-free workplaces and schools? Do you see a day without paper texts and records? What about personal use? Could you see the day when you pick up an e-book for casual reading?

I definately use more paper in an office setting than I do at home, especially when I am preparing pamphlets for the public. Realistically I cannot see a paper free workplace or school in the near future. Paper is too versatile, and inexpensive compared to a digital pad or screen. Also I have never seen all the pages in a book go blank after dropping it on the floor. For personal use, I can see the day when I pick up an e-book for casual reading
I don't think they will ever stop teaching in classroooms without the use of paper, or be able to work without paper, especially business because we as human beings do not absorb the information as quickly as the computer does,so therefore, a paper always comes in handy and will continue to come in handy, unless the whole world was provided an e-book or new device where you could read all sorts of books and type, and be in compact form where you can take and carry anywhere you go. But giving it a shot on the market for people who want to try it out would be good to find the target market for this type of thing, and which people would be good for to use. So, yes, I could see it happening if things work out well with experimenting first! It's all about trial and error!
Oh, and money of course! :P
The Death of Paper.......
Hollay..tough ?
I don't see paper as non-existent,maybe less, but paper is definetely handy. It is needed in schools and offices no matter how much it is harming our environment.
With the rapid pace of technology growing, I think I could see a day where there will be no more use for paper. Paper may be needed for little things, but computers will be the necessity for the most part. Most people like to read books for enjoyment, so I dont think books will ever become instinct. I personally dont like reading from a computer, I cant get comfortable, and it later starts to strain my eyes. So I hope books will still be around.
Jeee..... that would be good for the tree's.....lol , but i dont know if schools and businesses can go without paper because everone is use to having paper around , the world is changing so maybe if children grew up with out having paper and just knew how to use technology for everyday life or something....i dunno.
I definately can not see schools being paper free because there will always be hand outs given out to students as teacher modify thier information according to each students SEP's...Some teacher's even need paper for office use only, this is why I believe we will never see the day when schools are paper free. I. myself do not think that I would never pick up an e-book due to the fact that leisure reading is picking up a book just to relax and have fun with it.
personally I can't see a paper free workplace or school although there was a time the classroom just used small blackboards but still had books, I love ready and I really can't imagine a time without books plus I really hope that day doesn't come cause I don't like working with computers, and I'm sure I won't like e-book for casual reading
With regard to looking at paper-free workplaces and schools, I do not think it would happen soon, however, perhaps in my life time. Paper-free projects might cause problems or glitches and perhaps problems if the system crashes. It would best for the world to stick with paper for hard evidence.
I cannot see myself picking up an e-book to read casually. I do not read unless I have to or have interest in it. If an e-book was to come in a device such as a Blackberry but in a larger proportion, then perhaps i would consider an e-book.
I would still use paper for personal use.
Realistically, I can see paper-free workplaces and schools, maybe not tomarrow or anything but in the future sometime! Because technology is getting so much more advanced, there will be no need for paper or text books someday. Sometime in the future we probably will be reading e-books for casual reading!!
Realistically I can visualize paper free workplaces and schools! In this case I would see everyone having a personal lap top or computer with access to Text books, work books. Etc. I see some people get excited when it comes to the print button and they end up printing off whole text books.
I can see a day without paper texts and records because technology is so advanced that it’s possible to obtain texts and records on the internet. I also think if this does happen there will be a lot of people may be waking around with bad eye sight. As for personal use I can see paper being used by people who are artist. Painting or drawing. Right now I can’t see myself picking up an e-book for casual reading because I don’t read books casually! I’m the type of person who reads when I have to, there fore if I were to read an e-book I can see myself reading it in order to study!
I honestly do not see the world as not using paper anymore, sure its easier for us with the computer world but it also is good to have paper.I can't see the schools not ever using paper for reasons that everything on computers would be expensive and not all familys can afford the costs of some technology, how would teachers communicate with parents? Paper is an inexpensive item to be used. The world is recycling more and more everyday so I think that would take the problem of the enviroment.
I don't really think that we could go without paper in workplaces and in schools because paper is just so handy, it's easier to just grab a pen and paper to quickly jot something down, rather than having to log onto the computer, and possibly forgetting your train of thought.
Do I see a day without paper texts and records?...
I don't think that we will ever stop using paper, unless somebody wants to type up all the history that is written in records or texts, online. We also use paper for a lot of things like pictures and money, if we put all our history or pictures and everything on a computer and if just so happens that technology shuts down than all that could be lost. well same goes with, if ever theres a fire, lol.
I don't think I would use an e-book for casual reading, because to me casual reading is comfortable reading, where I could lay comfortably on my bed or snuggle up on a couch, which I would be able to do with a regular book. Where with an e-book I'd have to sit uncomfortably at a computer desk.
At this time, I can say for myself I could not say that the world would be paper-free. In the business world we need to keep records for a period of time - for that just in case emergency. Depends on what type of business you have you need records for all clients - receipts, invoicing, etc. I use paper for everything, we need to have that feel of work in our hands. E-books might be the future and of course I probably would love to own a Kindle when they come available - i love the new gadgets - but would I always use it.. who knows! But I beleive it will be a long time before we reach a paper free WOrld
I think that of course, were all going to have to use paper for office use and schools. Businesses have to use pamphlets for advertisements and posters for projects. I have to say though that in my work place we are trying to use less paper for reporting. ical is one of the programs that is used for appointments and reminders for up coming events. As for reading, I can see that there will be a day that i will pick up an e-book for reading. That will be really interesting.
well, I just found out what an e-book looks like, and I could see myself picking one up to do some casual reading, although it may be a little hard on my eyes.
I personally would be scared to be paper free because technology has defaults and may crash at some point in time. I would be worried that all my work, records, and things that are important to me would be lost.
I think that you always need a paper copy, just to be sure you have everything that is important would be safe. I believe that children need to learn how to read and write first without the computer. It is fun for them to pick up a paper and pencil and start scribbling.
I know that in the near future that we will be pretty much paper free, and that trees will be saved.
Technology changes so much and so fast, that yes, it is scary.
Someday we will be paper free, but I honestly believe that people should always have a paper copy for their important documents.
I was in the band office today and they had these recycle bins for paper. The office manager is trying to reduce the use of paper in the community buildings. She also mentioned, that she wanted people from office to office, that have computers to use email to communicate throughout the community offices's. So Eel Ground is on its first step towards helping the environment.
Yes, I think if we all did our part then we can help the environment.
I KNOW WE ALL CAN HELP, REDUCE REUSE AND RECYCLE.
I think we can foresee a time when we stop using paper. We would need to see some other things happen first for example everyone would need to own a laptop or desk top, and a store-n-go, I imagine by then it would be a chip embedded into our skin or something really scifi like that, or when you hold your hand out this hologram type of screen would pop up.
You want to hear more check out my blog make a comment!
For someone like me it would take some getting used to though. I like to print out our class notes and put them in my binder. It is not my fault I was brain washed to function this way. I even print our course description and assignment pages. Sick "A". I try to stop because it on the wikispace to no avail. I think rather I know it will take some time to adjust. Possibly by the time I graduate I will be converted. I know it would be better for the trees.
"The death of paper" Without paper life would be a bit hard in schools and work places.Paper is very handy to have.
No I cant see a paperless world. This is because I am used to using paper. I feel more secure passing in a paper by hand, but this may be because I am so accustomed to this way of doing things and people are naturally creatures of habit. At the same time I am concerned about the environmental effects of cutting all the trees down to make paper. So there are no easy answers, but all paper should be made recycleable-we dont need to get rid of it all together. I really like books- e-books are not appealing to me, and half way through the first page of an e-book I would end up on facebook or doing my blog or something. My answer is more recycling. I would be grieving if paper left the human race.Lets plant more trees!
It would certainly be mankinds greatest gift to the environment if we could save as many trees as possible, but realisticslly it cannot be possible. School and business would need paper here and there, Just to use less consumption of paper would surely make a huge difference worldwide if every counrty got onboard and take the test head on.I think though sometime in the near future, not in my day or maybe not in my childrens days but maybe my grandchildrens will see the e-board and the whole world be all computerized ,its scary to think that their whole lives would be computerized .Anthing that the Government can get on you is not acceptable to me.LOL
I find we use more paper today, for example, if a paper was written the fonts or the layout didn't come out the way we expect from the printer, then of course we are going to fix and keep printing until is correct, I have seen myself doing this numerous times, however we have been recycling alot, which is a huge plus for the office and the environment. I honestly don't see this conluding everything to a paper free environment.
Can we realistically look at paper-free workplaces and schools?
I believe that your always going to need paper in the workplace but adminstative paper such as memo`s can just be sent by email. They is too much waste of paper in the office.
Do you see a day without paper texts and records?
There should always be at least one paper copy to be able to have access too, but I believe it should be on a hard drive.
What about personal use?
Tell you the truth I don`t use a lot of paper, when it come down to write something down at home I`m always scambling around looking for something to write on.
Could you see the day when you pick up an e-book for casual reading.
I dont`t like reading for long off a computer screen, I usually have to print a copy to read it. When I do read something on the computer I tend to read it at a much faster pace.
I can't imagine having a school without any paper. It would be a big change for the teacher's that are teaching now and I don't think that there ready for change. If some day it does happend well I guess everyone will have to get use of it or just keep up with their old ways.I can tell you that im not prepared for it or even looking forward to it.
My opinion to looking at paper-free workplaces and schools would have to be no. I couldn't see it happening in the near future but you never know i could be wrong. The advances that have been made in technology in just the last 10 years is remarkable.
Using paper for records and text I think is important. For one reason in particular, technology can crash and data can be lost easily. I guess it goes the same for paper too i guess. A fire could destroy everything just like that. For my personal use i could never see it happening. What if i was an artist then paper would be something really valuable to me.
As far as picking up an e-book for casual reading that might be something I could see myself doing.

I have difficulty seeing a paperless school or office because there are just some things that require documentation and signing. However, I do see using less and less paper both in school and in workplaces. We are already experiencing that in this class (well the last one anyway) where a textbook was not utilized. All our assignments were emailed in, marked/commented on and sent back. For us "old-fashioned" folks, we may have printed a hard copy ~ just for reference!!
I believe that our children will easily adapt to a paperless world and think it is quite normal. For our kids, using a computer to doing everthing, from homework, chatting with friends, posting pictures etc... is very run-of-the-mill so there will not be a big change for them. It will come naturally.
Paper comes in soo many different forms, but if we start looking at the technology and paper we can now see digital photo frames... eventually replacing printed paper pictures, they even have these on keychains just like the traditional photo key chain I used to have, but a digital one.
Paper Books will be replaced by the digital book because the costs of books will be cheaper because the printer has been eliminated through the process.
I think when they create a device that is cheaper and easy to use and access, paper will diminish quicker and quicker, the need for printing information will be eliminated due to information being passed through the web.
Facebook is a great example of how to invite people to events and inform the public on what's going on in the neighborhood.
Just a peek into the death of paper and it's struggle to maintain an airway.... Does anyone know CPR? ...keep them away..lol
iI think that this is a great idea however we might be just unable to see the future of it. Yes, for now we can see ourselves needing the usage of paper in the office and schools. Maybe just like Delphine said using less and less of it.
However if we think of this from a futuristic point of view of 5 years down the road well then maybe it can be a paperless world in these two worlds( Schools & Businesses). What about the packaging of the everyday items. Items we use to feed our families, items we purchase from the barbie dolls to the leggos, they all use a big the amount of paper and plastic.
But maybe some sort of new revolution will take place that will make this and we start caring about what the environment can take as well.
The death of paper...? no way. I can't see this happening. not in a school or a business. we have to have paper. I just can't see this happening. I don't even know what a e-book is or what it looks like.If there is no paper then what about our money.those loonies and toonies are going to be heavy in our pockets.
Computers have certainly allowed us to utilize paper, so much so that paper shredders are available at next to nothing costs. This should tell us something. I find myself printing out sheets of information that I could have read on the screen. No more erasing, just fix your mistakes and print out another sheet. As for a day without actual paper texts and books….I hope not! I’m guessing e-books are like cd’s? I don’t know about other people, but these old eyes of mine get tired really fast when I have to read text off a computer. It’s easier just to print it out. With the world becoming more environmentally conscious, you see more and more re-cycled paper on the shelves; maybe the day for obsolete paper print will never come. We will just re-use, re-use, re-use.
No more paper..can't see it hapening...I can see less paper being used.Yes I think in the near future, e-books may be choice for allot of people, but not everyone. School, I think will always need paper...it easy and convenient.
There will never be death of paper,,,However there will be a tremendous cut down of the use of paper. Lot of the not needed paper waste can be elimated. Sorry for the post it note guys, but i think their sales may be greatly affected. They may have to now invent a post it web pad. For the sectaray to write down a message and sent to a the employee eletronicly. I see it as a benefit for the trees. Which beings me to my next question, What about all the computers now needed and what about the resources that is need for producing them. What about the resources needed for that. We may of solved that relentless use of paper, but what is the cause and affect of that. Thats why it was so important for First Nations people to tell stories, legends and songs. History and lessons were passed on out through generations and generations, And no paper was needed and the resources were never distrubed.
And yes I do see us using my e books in the furture.
Well as an artist I would have to say there will always be a need for paper. I can't imagine a day when an artist can find a world without paper easier, although I'm sure it is possible. Not only are pads of paper used vastly in various warm-up exercises, also, the canvas itself is a way to render many a painting. Imagine a world with out the technical skills needed to be able to do such a drawing or painting. What if we do become paper free, its the act of trying and trying again that makes such a great artist. What if the artist loses the trained eye it would take to create such a great image. Its could be done, but perhaps only in the academic or business world, but in the world of art, the convincing of a switch, will be much harder. Although I do hope for a much more environmentally friendly media other than paper, Its not realistic, at least at this point in time.
in todays society we all consume paper on a regular basis. today we have all the emaials and word processors to assist us in whatevertask we use. in the classroom or business the pc has provided us with a tool that can help us eliminate the use of paper in which is great for the enivironment{save a tree dude} and also this tool has provided many who are disabled who are not able to use paper to write. so in the future i definetly see paper being obsolete
I don't think that paper will ever die, but I do use less paper nevertheless I think its important to have some paper trail just in case you lose your information when your computer crashes.
I personally think it would be great if we didn't have to utilize paper anymore because it would do a world of good to our environment. But realistically, there will always be some form of paper use in the schools and in the workplace. Paper may be expensive but digitalilized books will be a lot most costly. I know from my personal experience that I use paper everyday and it will be hard to adjust to e-books for casual reading. Just as long as we get high speed.
I don't think that we will ever be paper free although it would be great for the environment, I can't see myself documenting everything on the computor, first of all I'm very slow at typing, I type so slow that I would forget what I was writing about. SOOO COME ON PAPER.
I do think that some day technology will take over paper in everyway!computers, and cell phones will be all that will be used. I mean look at todays world already, in school essays have to be typed out and printed, some will print them and others just save them on a disk and hand them in that way. I might not happen any time soon, but i do think someday, and in some generation it will end up that way!
It would be nice to save a tree. When I think about how far we have come; from the chalkboard and chalk as our paper in the early years, to over use, waste of paper to causing massive damage to Mother Earth through clear cutting, why not just now use the computer? why not just save a tree.....D.
It would be nice to have paper-free workplaces and schools but I don't really see it happening completely. For the sake of the environment we can reduce our use of paper but that may be in a more social or business aspect, as for schools I don't think they will ever be totally paper free. The lower level schools do not receive the necessary funding now I would highly doubt that these schools would be granted the adaquet technology to be paper free. Personally I love and always will love to read a book that I can hold in my hand.
I feel that paper cannot be totally eliminated because certain things need to be documented permanently for future records. Thechnology is not a sure way of keeping certain documents permanent. Also there are the confidentuallity issues. Thechnology is still working in ways of keeping certain things confident, with technology there is still hackers, who can and will always find ways of getting into other people files. There is no absolute solution with technology but with documents you can have the safety with you on paper and make the copies you need with the people you trust for yourself.
"No more paper" I cant see it cause there is so many thing that I know I use paper for. My work place and business is full of paper. I really cant see the death of paper!!!
No, I can't. I think there is enough recyclable paper products out there to last a while. Plus, I seen on the Discovery Channel an environmental documentary that said the idea of tree's endangerment is a lot worse than the reality of it. I think the idea of technology and electronics taking over every thing needs to be re-thought out and maybe even slowed down.
I'm sure that we will see the day of digital reading and I do support this type of technology. I think that there is no time like the present to start recycling and saving paper means cutting down less of the earths forests. Students should be encourged to use all the spaces in their huge note books in order to get the max usage out of the precious pages. Or may be there could be more studies and research into how much students upon avaerage really need to use a certain amount of paper. As for text books they are a waste of paper and thats something that the internet and computers could become of some use to the environment and the learning process. Students could learn about accurate and up to date events without damaging the environment.
The idea of a paper-free world is realistic but I am not sure it will happen anytime soon. Once everyone has the chance to have access to a computer and the internet, only than can it happen. Personally I do not see myself picking up an e-book for casual reading anytime soon but I am open to the idea and will try it once it becomes more readily available.
If I was asked this question three months ago my response would be a flat NO. We will always need paper. However I'm with still more resistance than I wish to admit, beginning to believe a paperless world may one day be here. I was at a work shop in Halifax last month and it was my first experience where there folder packages consisting of agendas, bios, and workshop info was not present. It was replaced with a flash drive, how neat. Now I know many documents will need signatures. This I'm sure will be solved by technology or a digital writing pad wireless if need be and identification security measures done by retinal scans or finger print pads. Not long ago I saw a digital message on a license plate. So I say yes, as much as I may resist it will happen. The digital world is on its way. But until then give me paper or give me death! Comments welcome.
Why Consumption Matters
by Dave Tilford
http://www.sierraclub.org/
sustainable_consumption/tilford.asp
"Though we live in an era of computers, in which documents can be created and passed on electronically, personal computers are actually responsible for a large part of the problem. They are estimated to consume over 115 billion sheets of paper annually. In addition, the past few decades have seen a proliferation of copy machines, wasteful copying practices (especially in offices), paperboard containers for prepared foods, and incredible volumes of catalogs and junk mail. More than ever, forests are felled to produce unwanted advertising and excess packaging for consumer goods and other disposable products intended for one-time use."
***********************************
Experience would suggest that despite growing environmental concerns, the growth of consumerism is a slumbering giant in technology’s dream. Technology is driven by consumerism, it is the link to the source, as in product and service. Link the product and service to their source however and the source represents other commodities, like our natural resources and the diversity of life. As long as there are people that will believe that all they have to do is plant another tree, people will continue to believe that it is their choice. "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
Choice is a privilege not a right. It is also a commodity in today’s marketplace. And as long as there are people that will believe that they have the right of choice, people will continue to consume whatever they can. If that means 115 billion sheets of paper annually and total annihilation of the forest and its inhabitants, then that is the choice. It’s interesting how the choice is made, sometimes so simply as yes or no, on or off, allow, disallow, black or white. That’s it. My thoughts for the day.
In many cases I don’t think we have a choice weather we are going to move to a digital environment; its just going to happen sooner or later but I don’t think we can realistically look at a completely paper-free workplace or school. We don’t use as much paper as we use to at work or in school, everything is done on the computer. But I don’t think we can work without it completely.
We don’t use paper in our house as much as we use to because we do everything on the computer. I hope it doesn’t come to the day when we have to pick up an e-book for casual reading because I don’t like reading off of the computer I would rather print it off or read it on paper. Technology is even hard for me too keep up with so I could see this really happening in the near future but not entirely removing paper from work and schools.

The death of paper sounds kind of scary... I always use paper at work I have no choice at all and wouldn't even have the time to type in class. In a daycare we use all sorts of paper and I would always have to write on their log books write in my planner to prepare activities and use paper to write their accident reports and medical reports. So I don't think that paper should be death at all...
World without pqaper? I don't like the sounds of this. I myself always write on paper before doing my final copy on progarms such as word. This way I know if it doesn't properly get sent to the person who i'm sending it to, or it even gets lost somewhere out in cyberspace, or somehow lost on my word file, then I know I will always have the backup of my paper.
I think that reading an e-book is absolutely obsurd. I can't forsee this ever happening, there is too much of a demand for paper. There is such an enormous market for it, those wealthy business people won't allow that to happen, its too detrimental to them. So the days of a paper-free world, won't be in this century or the next!

Paperless schools and workplaces may one day be a reality but I don’t believe it will happen any time in the near future. At my workplace we go through plenty of paper especially when publications are made such as newsletters and brochures. It is better to see a hard copy for layout and proof reading purposes. But we recycle…
As for e-book reading, no, I still enjoy the old fashion way of reading a book; it is just so relaxing.

DEATH OF PAPER;
Save a tree eat a beaver!
In this case public consumption is the beaver. With the new marketing of all things green have we just masked the problem and added a new one. For many people it provides the illusion that they are environmentally conscious. The new politically correct way to shop now is to hide all your unneeded purchases in a green shopping bag. They are still patsies to the consumer mentality.
This is reflected in the marketing of computer technology. What happens to the millions of computers and gadgets that become obsolete every year? It is cheaper to buy a new printer than the ink.
The use of paper can be a different story. Ideally paper use can be lowered or eliminated. Newspapers alone if read on line can literally save forests. Can you imagine a world without paper memos, advertising flyers, textbooks, notebooks, photocopies, etc.? This is possible.
It would be efficient in cost and use. I still remember my awe; years ago, when I found out that the whole Encyclopedia Britannica could be put unto a disc. Any written text, no matter how large, can be written, edited, stored, copied, and sent to practically anyone anywhere without the use of paper.
But I wonder what would happen to all that stored info if there befalls us some mega calamity, are all the bits and bytes lost?
I confess that even though I am an avid environmentalist, I still use paper. In writing this article, even though I am consciously aware that I am doing double work, I wrote by hand on paper before rewriting it onto the computer. I think that it is hard wired into my brain after (52 – 5 = 47), 47 years of writing things on paper. I organize, think and study by writing on paper. The young, who use the computer technology practically before they can walk, will be the pioneers of this paperless frontier.
As for personal use of the e-book, I am really interested. I would love to have one. I am an avid reader and collector of books, but you can ask anyone who has ever helped me move, boxes of books can be a heavy and space taking problem. Even though I love a beautiful book, the art of the cover, the crisp turn of the first page, the musky smell of old editions; I am willing to try one. The description of the e-book during the class presentations sold me with its small size, texture and font like a real page, and especially the ability to read it in bed!
I come from a town where the paper mill was a huge asset to our town. It employed 350 people, some that have worked their for 25 years. It has recently shut down and have left 350 people out of job with no pentions for people that have worked their and were about to retire in a few years. Many families have had to move away and restart from scratch at 50 years old. I feel this has a lot to do with the technoloy. I feel that paper is just as important and I prefer to use paper rather then sending an e-mail. I also feel that paper should keep being made so that a lot of people can keep their jobs.
A paper free workplace is not realistic, we will always need to use paper at sometime or another. It’s nice to think about, being environmentally safe, relaying on computers and technology does not benefit everyone. Not everyone can afford to keep up with the constantly changing technology. Computers are always changing and there is always some sort of upgrade to the computer world. I don’t think that e-books will be beneficial to the older generations, especially if they are not familiar with computers. Not everyone would like to sit in front of a computer and read an e-book. It’s just not practical, schools without textbooks. It would be very costly for schools to keep up with the constantly changing technology.
I believe that we are not necessarily using less paper but we combine it with technology.. We are still printing pamplets, worksheets, information and so on using technology. We have on the other hand learned to recycle paper which keeps a firm hold on the progress to become enviromentally friendly. I still believe not everything should be done aon the computer and paper will be around for years to come!!
I would never want to see the day come where paper becomes extinct. I enjoy having that hot cup of coffee and relaxing on that bog favorite reading chair, while opening up the hard cover book, feeling those crisp new smells of paper.
Or coloring on a Sunday morning with your kid. The cool colors of Crayola smearing on the recycled colored paper. Seeing that smile on your child when they have attempted to draw the special piece for you.
How could we even begin to phantom the idea of eliminating paper, when great memories were revolved around it. How did you feel when receiving a letter in the mail handwritten by someone you cared about? Its so much more personal than having then same information written in text though email. Now, I know it is the same message only being transmit differently, but the added personal touch makes a world of a difference. I hope to continue to see paper for as long as I live and to be able to share those stories on a rocking chair while I read a story book to my grandchildren. That would be sweet.
I really couldn't see our world without paper, paper is used for so much it would be kind of odd.I wish they would cut down on the use of paper and try to recycle as much as they can,as for schools not using paper I cannot see that happening.Paper is cheaper and easier to use,not all people know how to use a computer.Another good thing about paper is that it cant be deleted if it falls on the floor,or it cant crash like a computer can.I dont think paper should become obsolete because paper is used for so much, like pictures, letters, books, magazines, etc.I enjoy reading, writing, and taking nice photo's of my family because it leaves me with nice memories.
